Everything went really well except the weather. At least it did not rain!! but the temperature started around 14 when people decided to sit outside and descended to 9  by which time everyone came in. After the end the final five went to Colleen and Will's to play pool. We found out Danny must have been a pro in his youth!!!!!

At dinner we discussed ideas for the upcoming 1812 party, particularly tepees from cedar saplings and Colleen explained that it was not really 80/20 but 95/5 Only 5% of people actually get stuff done like important stuff holding parties etc! and stuff at work and at Govt places education etc, the rest are just there putting in time. This has led me Gus to the idea of forming the 5% club joinable by invitation only by 5 (of course) existing members who can verify that the candidate is a get things done person. Maybe a new blog in Google here where each post is a new member. Also need to consider 5 initial members to start otherwise no new members!!!

Rob+Marlene+Chapters=Spanish

In 2010 Rob (Duimstra) gave me a gift card for Chapters which I lost. While I was away Marlene found it. So this week I was in Guelph and found I could buy Living Spanish Part 1 for the $25 gift. I also visited Macondo second hand  books and got the Spanish dictionary and parallel stories. The set includes 3 CDs and so far I am quite impressed and find one can listen and learn while cooking or cleaning(well not done often here). Anyhow will report again later on progress.

On Saturday April 7 we read our second comedy

Pizza and Palin, Ashland and "Game Changer"

Last Thursday afternoon Barbara picked me up and we passed through Ashland to pick up this fantastic Pizza deal  on the way to her home. There Karen joined us to watch the HBO movie "Game Changer". A really well produced and acted movie about the McCain team selection of Palin and her "contributions" to political discourse. Everybody is so lucky Obama won, This movie merits wide international distribution.
I loved the scene where some top economic advises  enter to brief Palin on European situation but her handlers quickly get them to reality and they bring out a map of Europe pointing out "this is Germany, this is France..............!!!!!
